VisionX is a messaging, calling and social app operated by Neural Signal Corporation Limited ("VisionX", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it to match how the app actually works.
The short version: your personal chats are end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read them. Social content you choose to publish (status updates, feed posts, channels) is not end-to-end encrypted, because it is meant to be seen by others. We run no advertising and no third-party analytics, and we do not sell your data.
When you create an account we collect your email address, name, an optional @username, and optionally your phone number (verified by a one-time SMS code). Passwords, verification codes and security PINs are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes — never in plain text. We record when and which version of the Terms you accepted.
Your profile photo, "about" text, privacy settings, blocked-user list, online/last-seen presence, and app preferences. Who can see your profile photo, about, last-seen and status is controlled by you in Privacy settings and enforced on our servers.
Once you and the people you're chatting with have exchanged encryption keys, personal chats (1:1 and group messages, photos, videos, files, voice notes, shared contacts, polls, and shared locations) are protected with end-to-end encryption (X25519 key agreement with a double-ratchet protocol; media is encrypted on your device with per-file AES-256-GCM keys). For those messages our servers store and relay only ciphertext — we cannot read them — and once a chat is encrypted the app will not downgrade it to unprotected.
Some things are, by design, not sealed inside this encryption: a message sent to someone who has not yet set up encryption keys, and lightweight items like stickers, GIF links and shared-post references (which contain only a public sticker id, GIF URL or post id, not your private text). Group-call media and everything in the "Social content" and "AI features" sections below are also not end-to-end encrypted.
We do store message metadata needed to run the service: who sent a message to which conversation, when, its type, and delivery/read receipts and reactions.
Content you publish for an audience is stored in readable form so it can be shown to that audience: status updates (including their photos, videos, text and polls; they expire after 24 hours), feed posts, reels and comments, channels and communities content, and your profile photo. Don't post anything publicly you wouldn't want others to see.
If you use "Find friends" and grant contacts permission, the app uploads the phone numbers only from your address book (no names, no emails, no photos) to check which of them are on VisionX. The numbers are matched transiently and are never stored on our servers. Contact names and photos stay on your device.
In end-to-end encrypted chats, locations you share — including live-location coordinates, which use a one-time key we cannot read — travel inside the encryption; we can only see that a live share is active and when it expires. In chats that are not yet encrypted, and in public feed posts you attach a location to, the coordinates are readable by our servers. When you search for a place, your search text and approximate position are sent to Esri's ArcGIS geocoding service to find matches; your VisionX identity is never sent with these requests.
Voice and video calls are transport-encrypted. 1:1 calls connect peer-to-peer where possible (our relay servers pass only encrypted packets they cannot decrypt). Group calls are routed through our media server; they are encrypted between each device and the server, but are not end-to-end encrypted. We store call metadata (who called whom, call type, duration, timestamps) so your call history works.
If you use VisionX AI (assistant chat, image generation or editing, voice transcription, text-to-speech), the content you submit — prompts, images you attach, or audio you record — is processed by our AI providers (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) to generate the response. AI conversations are saved to your AI history unless you use incognito mode. Your end-to-end encrypted chats are never sent to AI providers. Public status and feed text may be checked automatically by a moderation service to detect prohibited content.
Chat backups are sealed on your device with a key derived from your passphrase (PBKDF2, 200,000 iterations, AES-256-GCM). We store only the sealed blob and cannot open your backup. If you forget the passphrase, we cannot recover it.
Push notification tokens (Apple APNs including VoIP push, and Google FCM) so we can deliver notifications — notification contents never include your encrypted message text. IP addresses are processed transiently for security rate-limiting and are not kept for regular accounts. We use no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, and no crash-tracking SDKs.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your content for advertising.
We share data only with the processors needed to run VisionX:
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of users and the public (for example, reports of child sexual exploitation are escalated to the relevant authorities). If our company is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer under the same protections.
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, export, correct or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of them directly in the app (edit profile, export data, delete account) or by emailing neurologic777@gmail.com. We respond to verified requests within the legally required time. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
VisionX is not for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age your country requires). We delete accounts of underage users when we become aware of them.
End-to-end encryption for personal chats, encrypted transport (TLS) everywhere, bcrypt-hashed credentials, per-viewer privacy enforcement on the server, encrypted local storage on the device, and optional app lock with Face ID. No system is perfectly secure — protect your account with a strong password and two-step PIN (You ▸ Account).
Our servers are operated in the United States. If you use VisionX from outside the United States, your information will be processed there. Where data is transferred internationally to the processors above, we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.
We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes we'll also notify you in the app.
